ABSTRACT:
In large multinational organizations, SAP change control teams must now not only deal with high volumes of change, but as SAP applications begin to take in specific applications and span additional technologies, they must also accommodate change across multiple applications and multiple technologies. In many cases companies are also required to document change control processes and activities carefully in order to comply with regulatory obligations.
Accordingly, the challenges associated with managing these high volumes of changes, in an auditable manner, and for increasingly complex information infrastructures, are ever increasing.
This paper highlights common change control challenges experienced by SAP change control teams, discusses considerations in meeting this need for closely managed change and introduces Rev-Trac, the SAP change control technology from Revelation Software Concepts, as an effective solution for meeting and managing these challenges.
